New Energy Characteristics

1) The resources are abundant and generally have renewable characteristics, which can be used for sustainable use by mankind; for example, the wind resources that can be developed and utilized on land are estimated to be 253GW, but as of 2003, only 0.57GW has been developed and utilized, and it is expected to be available in 2010 To reach 4GW, by 2020 to 20GW, and the amount of solar photovoltaic grid-connected and off-grid applications is expected to increase from 0.03GW by 1 to 2 GW by 2020.

2) The energy density is low, and a large space is needed for development and utilization;

3) No carbon or low carbon content, with little impact on the environment;

4) Wide distribution, which is conducive to small-scale decentralized utilization;

5) Intermittent supply, high volatility, which is unfavorable to continuous energy supply;

6) Except for hydropower, the development and utilization cost of renewable energy is higher than that of fossil energy.
