Classification

1. New energy is classified according to its formation and source:

2. New energy is classified according to the status of development and utilization:

(1) Conventional energy, such as hydropower, nuclear power.

(2) New energy sources, such as: bioenergy, geothermal, ocean energy, solar energy, and wind energy.

3. New energy is classified by attributes:

(1) Renewable energy, such as solar energy, geothermal energy, hydropower, wind energy, biological energy, ocean energy.

(2) Non-renewable energy sources, such as nuclear energy.

4. New energy is classified according to the conversion and delivery process:

(1) Primary energy, energy directly from nature. Such as: hydropower, wind power, nuclear power, ocean power, and biological power.

(2) Secondary energy sources, such as biogas, steam, thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, solar power, tidal power, wave power, etc.
